Menu & Local-Search Site — Orange Bistro

The challenge

Orange Bistro cooks döner from the spit, stone-oven pizza and tacos at Voa Principala 23, on the main road through Lenzerheide in Graubünden — a ski and hiking village where most guests are holding a phone and deciding where to eat in the next ten minutes. The kitchen takes orders by phone, not through a checkout, so the site was never meant to become a shop. It had to answer four questions on one screen — is it open, what do they cook, what does it cost, what is the number — and make a 73-dish menu readable on a phone instead of squinted at on a wall board.

The solution

We built a single-page Next.js site with a separate, structured menu page. The hero carries live open/closed state, opening and delivery windows, the address and a tap-to-call button, so the answer arrives before any scrolling. The menu page splits 73 dishes across 9 categories with CHF prices, popularity and dietary badges, honest “Symbolbild” labels on illustrative photography, and an allergen note. Sections on how the kitchen works, the group offer, a gallery of real photographs from the restaurant, selected Google reviews and an FAQ carry the rest. The Google map loads only once the guest agrees, so nothing is sent to Google unasked, and Restaurant schema marks up address, hours and menu for local search. Dark mode and a mobile-first layout with a permanent call button finish it.

The impact

The restaurant's public presence — menu, prices, opening and delivery hours, allergen information and the phone number — is now maintained in one place instead of a wall board and third-party listings, and it answers the searches that happen in the village. Ordering stays where the kitchen wants it: on the phone, with tap-to-call on every screen and no checkout for anyone to watch during service.
