Trilingual Practice Website — Praxis Dr. von Planta

The challenge

Praxis Dr. von Planta is a general practice with an internal-medicine focus in Chur, Graubünden, running since 2006 and open to new patients. Its patients arrive with very different needs — an acute complaint, a check-up, a diving-fitness certificate, a Group 2 driving-licence exam, or an emergency at 22:00 — and a single flat 'Services' list serves none of them well. Graubünden is trilingual and the practice consults in German and Italian, so a German-only site excluded part of its catchment. Health content also carries a higher bar: emergency routing has to be unmissable, and analytics must not run before the patient has consented.

The solution

We built a Next.js site organised around patient intent rather than the practice's org chart. A 'why are you coming to us?' router offers six entry paths — feeling ill, check-up, looking for a GP, diving fitness, Group 2 licence, urgent — each landing on a dedicated service page (Allgemeinmedizin, Vorsorge & Check-up, Tauchmedizin, Verkehrsmedizin Gruppe 2, Diagnostik/Echo/EKG, Schlafapnoe-Screening). The whole site ships in DE/EN/IT on per-locale URLs. Appointment booking, phone and WhatsApp sit in the header and as floating actions on mobile, and a standalone Notfall page carries the 144 emergency number and out-of-hours guidance. Analytics load only behind an explicit consent gate, and Impressum, Datenschutz and AGB pages are in place.

The impact

Patients reach the page they need in one tap instead of reading a services list, in the language they speak. Practice basics that used to arrive by phone — opening hours, whether the practice is open right now, address, prescription refills, emergency numbers — are answerable on the site. The trilingual build makes the practice findable to German-, Italian- and English-speaking patients across Graubünden.
